CARPHA conducts assessment of Saint Lucia’s communicable disease surveillance systems

The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) recently conducted a mission to Saint Lucia (17-24 September 2021) to undertake a national assessment of the country’s communicable disease surveillance systems. The CARPHA team conducted this exercise with the Ministry of Health Saint Lucia through the grant funding of the World Bank Regional Health Project.

The Ministry of Health and Human Services (MoHHS) has partnered with the Medicines Quality Control and Surveillance Department (MQCSD) of the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) to be a part of their risk-based Post-Market Surveillance (PMS) Programme for medicines. This partnership illustrates the MoHHS commitment to ensure the utilization of good quality, effective, and safe medicines within the TCI.
